About Hubert Vo

With the fall of Saigon in 1975, Hubert’s family fled Vietnam and relocated first to Lubbock, then Houston. His father opened a small business and Hubert attended the University of Houston, working nights as a machinist at Hughes Tool Company.

After graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Hubert found that jobs in the energy industry had been hit hard by the oil bust. Undeterred, Hubert switched gears and went into the computer business. He built a successful wholesale computer business and later diversified into real estate and development.

State Representative Vo has served District 149 since 2005.  Currently, he serves on the Economic & Small Business  Development, Insurance and House Administration committees.
