Hubert Vo recognizes that some tough choices are going to have to be made during the next legislative session. His priorities will focus on strengthening the local economy, improving our public schools, protecting the safety of our fami-lies and ensuring the state is fiscally responsible.
Economic Development
As a small businessman himself, Hubert works to make our area a good place to do business. Knowing that small businesses are our economic engine, he voted to reduce the taxes on small businesses so that they can create more jobs.
Quality Education
Education is the most important investment that our state can make in its future. Hubert has been a strong supporter of our public schools, voting to increase teacher salaries, reduce the use of high-stakes testing and address the high cost of college.
Public Safety
As a member of both the Criminal Jurisprudence and Public Safety Committees, Hubert has been a leader in the fight against crime in our state. And locally he has worked closely with area law enforcement and the management district to increase security in our neighborhoods.
Fiscal Responsibility
Hubert has a strong record as a fiscal watchdog. He has fought to reduce our property taxes, lower the appraisal cap and opposed the margins tax on small businesses.
